Abilities
Makes you invisible for 14 seconds, or until you attack or cast a spell. While invisible, you move 25% faster and can move through units.
Attacking to end the invisibility will deal 175 bonus physical damage to the target, and disable their passive abilities for 4.
Attacking to end the invisibility will deal 175 bonus physical damage to the target, and disable their passive abilities for 4.
- The attack out of Silver Edge's Shadow Walk cannot miss.
- Does not interrupt the user's channeling spells upon cast.
- The bonus damage is dealt in one instance together with the attack damage, and counts as attack damage as well.
- It can be lifestealed off of, and is considered by cleave, but not by crit.
- It is not affected by percentage-based attack damage bonuses or reductions, but can be reduced with flat reductions.
- Applies a break on the target when attacking from invisibility, disabling passive abilities.
- Places the debuff before the attack damage is applied, but still relies on the attack (or projectile) to hit.
- The invisibility is lost upon reaching the cast point of spells, or upon finishing an attack (for ranged heroes upon projectile launch).
- Unlike Shadow Blade, Silver Edge does not apply the damage if an attack hits during the fade time.
- Allows the user to pass through other units, including wards, but not through buildings.
- The user can pick up and drop items without breaking the invisibility.
- Shares cooldown with Shadow Blade.

Causes melee attacks to attack twice in quick succession. The double attacks apply a 100% movement slow for 0.8 seconds on each strike.
Attack Speed Bonus: 490
Number of Attacks: 1
Move Speed Slow: 100%
Slow Duration: 0.8
- This ability works exclusively for melee heroes.
- Upon proccing, grants the user 490 attack speed until the next attack.
- This means it does not provide guaranteed full attack speed and can be countered by strong attack speed slows.
- The attack speed buff has no set duration. It lasts until the user makes a second attack, no matter how long they wait.
- The attack speed is granted as soon as the attack point of the first is reached and last until the attack point of the second attack is reached.
- Since it is a simple attack speed bonus, it is possible to cancel the second attack and "store" the attack speed for later.
- The second attack is not an instant attack. It uses regular attack animation times and attack cooldowns.
- The movement speed slow is applied on the proccing attack and on the attack after the proccing attack.
- This means it is possible to slow two enemies with one proc, by switching attack targets after the proccing attack.
- The attacks first apply the debuff, then their own damage.
- Echo Strike triggers on instant attacks as well, applying the slow. The attack speed is wasted, though, since they are instant attacks.
- The attack speed bonus works for hero clones, but clones cannot apply the slow.
- The slow of multiple instances does not stack, but refreshes the duration instead.
- Procs on anything, including buildings, wards and allies. The slow fully applies to allies, but not to buildings and wards.
- Attack speed bonus stacks with the bonus of Echo Sabre's Echo Strike, but the slow debuffs do not stack.
- Silver Edge's Echo Strike does not use a regular cooldown. It is neither displayed on the item icon when proccing, nor is it affected by cooldown manipulating effects.
Recommended heroes
- Dragon Knight benefits well with the stats provided by Silver Edge. In addition to it, the invisiblity and break gives him more potential as a carry.
- Silver Edge allows Legion Commander to easily gank a lone enemy for Duels.
- A core item for Slark, the Echo Strike makes it easier to stack Essence Shift while the invisiblity provides him with Shadow Dance health regeneration, preventing him from being seen by the enemy.
- The invisiblity can still be activated by Spirit Breaker while charging with Charge of Darkness, giving it less time for the enemy to retaliate against him.
- An upgrade for Echo Sabre, Sven can use Silver Edge to disable enemies' troubling passive skills.
- The Echo Strike makes it easier to ensnare the enemies while giving him mobility and attack speed.
Heroes who lack mobility benefits well with Silver Edge:

Tips
- Be aware that the Break mechanic has no effect on your opponents' items. If they have a Daedalus or Butterfly, for example, they will still receive the full benefits of these items.
- Consider purchasing this item if the enemy has troubling passives such as Blur, Berserker's Blood, Lua error in Module:Ability_ID at line 61: Could not find Cargo data for "Fury Swipes"., Bristleback, Untouchable, and Dispersion.
- Remember that abilities using stacks (such as Reactive Armor, Necromastery and Lua error in Module:Ability_ID at line 61: Could not find Cargo data for "Fury Swipes".) are only prevented from gaining or placing new stacks. If the target already has existing stacks (on themselves or on their target), their passive can still function until the stacks expire (such as Reactive Armor's regeneration/armor and Fury Swipes' additional damage).
