- Firefly can be used to clear Nature's Prophet's treants and fly over Sprout.
- Flaming Lasso prevents Nature's Prophet escaping with Teleportation.
- Broodmother can destroy Nature's Prophet's treants with Spawn Spiderlings and summon spiderlings in their place.
- Broodmother loves buying Orchid Malevolence, which can prevent Nature's Prophet from escaping with Sprout and Teleportation.
- Clockwerk's long range initiation makes it incredibly difficult for Nature's Prophet to split push and show on the map alone.
- Crypt Swarm helps clear treant pushes.
- Silence prevents Nature's Prophet from using Sprout or Teleportation.
- Exorcism kills all treants.
- Doom can eats Nature's Prophet's treants with Devour and gains lots of gold.
- Doom usually buys Radiance or uses his Scorched Earth, which can deal a lot of damage to Nature's Prophet if they stand close to his Treants, as well as killing all of his Treants and getting lots of gold.
- Doom can pick up several different abilities from neutral creeps using Devour, some of which can be annoying to Nature's Prophet:
- Mud Golem, Dark Troll Summoner, Harpy Stormcrafter, Satyr Mindstealer, Satyr Tormenter and etc. are good examples.
- Doom and a ministun from Infernal Blade's prevents Nature's Prophet from escaping with Sprout and Teleportation.
- Echo Slam can do a lot of damage if Nature's Prophet stands close to his treants.
- Astral Spirit can give Elder Titan a lot of damage and movement speed if Nature's Prophet stands close to his treants.
- Not only can Echo Stomp prevent Nature's Prophet from escaping with Teleportation, Elder Titan can also use Astral Spirit to bypass Sprout and use its own Echo Stomp.
- Aghanim's Scepter-upgraded Earth Splitter can clear Nature's Prophet's treants and disarm him simultaneously, which can shutdown his pushing.
- Time Walk allows him to jump out of Sprout and to chase down Nature's Prophet during initiation.
- Time Dilation and Chronosphere prevents Nature's Prophet from escaping with Teleportation.
- Faceless Void usually builds Battle Fury or Maelstrom/ Mjollnir, making it easier to clear waves of Treants.

- Lina's Dragon Slave and Light Strike Array can kill Nature's Prophet's treants and grant her lot of farm.
- Nature's Prophet doesn't like buying Black King Bar, which is the only item that can help him against Lina.
- Lucent Beam allows Luna to prevent Nature's Prophet from escaping with Teleportation.
- Eclipse allows Luna to intercept Nature's Prophet when he arrives at the location where Luna is present with Teleportation.
- Hurricane Pike allows Luna to escape from Sprout.
- Moon Glaives allows Luna to clear the wavers of Treants, clearing herself area to use Eclipse.
- With a Ethereal Blade equipped, Luna can protect herself from Nature's Prophet, since most of his damage comes from basic attacks and Treants. Luna can also use Ethereal Blade to weaken Nature's Prophet's magic resistance and to make him more vulnerable to Lucent Beam and Eclipse.
- While Shadow Blade can protect Nature's Prophet from Eclipse, smart Luna will always buy Dust of Appearance, providing vision to Nature's Prophet for herself and her team.
- Meepo can net Nature's Prophet's treants with Earthbind and then he Poofs them, putting an end to his pushing.
- Skilled Meepos can rival and even exceed Nature's Prophet's global presence by combining Poof with Boots of Travel, meaning that he can not only stop his push, but can also kill him if he is not careful.
- Naga Siren is a natural split-pusher. With a Radiance equipped, she will easily out-push Nature's Prophet, farming his treants in the process.
- Ensnare prevents him from using Teleportation.
- Sand King has many tools to deal with Nature's Prophet's treants.
- Sand King also can interrupt Teleportation with Burrowstrike.

- Charge of Darkness and Nether Strike gives vision of Nature's Prophet when he tries to Sprout himself and teleport away.
- Just like Batrider, his Ball Lightning can be used to clear Nature's Prophet's treants and easily destroys Sprout and allows him chase Nature's Prophet himself.
- Electric Vortex prevents Nature's Prophet from escaping with Teleportation.
- Whirling Death destroys Nature's trees from Sprout and increases the damage per tree cut.
- Timber Chain can hook Nature's trees and destroys one of the trees in the process.
- Rearm and Boots of Travel can teleport and defend towers whenever Nature's Prophet tries to split push.
- Laser prevents Nature's Prophet from attacking. Additionally, even with Monkey King Bar, Nature's Prophet cannot hit towers and buildings.
- March of the Machines can easily kill an entire wave of Treants, giving Tinker lots of gold.
Others
- Legion Commander's Overwhelming Odds works similar to Echo Slam but with less damage.
- Alchemist gets a huge amount of additional gold from killing Nature's Prophet's treants thanks to Greevil's Greed.
- Io can Relocate with an ally to gank Nature's Prophet when he tries to push.
- Heroes that have AoE damage ( Lina, Keeper of the Light, Timbersaw, Leshrac, Bristleback, Axe).
- Heroes with invisibility and blink abilites ( Riki, Clinkz, Slark, Queen of Pain, Nyx Assassin).
- Heroes with detection ( Bounty Hunter, Disruptor, Razor, Slardar, Spectre, Spirit Breaker).
- Heroes with cleave damage ( Sven, Magnus).
- Few heroes can trade with Nature's Prophet in the very early stages of the game, but heroes who can include: Treant Protector, Ursa, Juggernaut.
Items
- Boots of Travel allows heroes to teleport to defend whenever Natures Prophet tries to split push.
- Quelling Blade, and its upgrade Battle Fury, allow heroes to cut down trees and allow them to escape from Sprout.
- Force Staff and Hurricane Pike allows heroes to escape from Sprout.
- Battle Fury, Maelstrom/ Mjollnir and Radiance make it easier to clear waves of Treants.
- Rod of Atos, Orchid Malevolence/ Bloodthorn, Eul's Scepter of Divinity, Scythe of Vyse and Abyssal Blade will prevent Nature's Prophet from escaping with Teleportation and Sprout.
Good against...
- Bane cannot do anything against Nature's Prophet in the very early stages of the game.
- Nightmare can be removed by treants.
- Bane is a very easy gank target for Nature's Prophet for most the time.
- His treants can prevent Chain Frost from jumping to Nature's Prophet or his allies.
- Lich has no way to defeat Natures Prophet in lane due to his high base damage and attack animation.
- Monkey King will find it hard to fight back against Nature's Prophet early on without support.
- Nature's Prophet's treants can destroy trees while Monkey King is standing on Tree Dance.
- Sprout can make Monkey King useless if he has not purchased a Quelling Blade.
- Equipped with Necronomicon 3, Sentry Ward or a Gem of True Sight, Nature's Prophet can use Teleportation to position himself outside the reach of Techies' Remote Mines to clear them.
- Treants are useful in clearing Land Mines and Remote Mines.
- Nature's Prophet is constantly moving around the map, so it is very likely he will see where techies is planting his mines
- His high attack range is very useful against destroying mines with true sight.
- Teleportation allows Natures Prophet to save himself from the damage over time of Venomous Gale, Poison Sting and Poison Nova.
- Plague Wards can be destroyed with Nature's Prophet's treants or Necronomicon.
Others
- Ember Spirit is a special mention because he can lane well against Nature's Prophet with support but is still very vulnerable should he purchase a Orchid Malevolence or Scythe of Vyse.
- Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities: Sven, Ursa, Alchemist, Lifestealer etc.
- Wraith of Nature shows some real value when the enemy team has no anti push such as: Monkey King, Nyx Assassin, Bounty Hunter and many more.
- Weak supports who cannot deal with Nature's Prophet high base damage: Dark Willow, Lion, Witch Doctor and many more.
Works well with...
- Nature's Prophet can teleport and finish off target with low HP with vision provided by Thirst. Or just simply use Nature's Prophet ultimate to end him.
- Invoker can assist Nature's Prophet anywhere whenever he ganks with Sun Strike. Sun Strike is also guaranteed to hit if the target is trapped by Sprout.
- Howl increases all of Treants' damage by a flat amount. Together with Nature's Prophet, they can destroy towers in a matter of seconds.
- Heroes trapped by Sprout is guaranteed to be stunned for full duration by Shackleshot.
- In the early to mid game, heroes with less than 50% hp which are trapped by Sprout is guaranteed to secure a kill for Riki's Tricks of the Trade.
- When an enemy is sprouted, Spear of Mars is a reliable stun.
