Biography

Ioannis "Fogged" Loucas has a long and storied legacy as a pro gamer. A veteran of HoN, DotA, and Dota 2, Fogged brings a level of experience to his team that not many other players can match.

Dota 2

Fogged began his DotA career in early 2012 as the team captain and mid solo for the North American team PotM Bottom. Despite their relatively unknown roster PotM Bottom quickly rose in ranks to become one of the best North American teams, placing highly in several minor tournaments. The team was however not invited to The International 2012 or the Western Qualifiers, due to Maelk telling IceFrog to not invite them. [1] In August 2012 Fogged led the team to a first-place finish in the ProDOTA2 League Season 1 with a 3-1 victory over Counter Logic Gaming. PotM Bottom's success did not go unnoticed and on September 22, 2012 the team was acquired by Team Dignitas.[2]

After joining Team Dignitas Fogged switched to a support role and relinquished his spot as the teams drafter in order to accommodate the addition of UNiVeRsE and waytosexy to the team. Ioannis excelled in the support role and his Jakiro along with UNiVeRsE's Dark Seer became one of the most deadly hero combinations in the game. Behind solid play from everyone on the new roster Dignitas established themselves as one of the best teams in the world, placing highly in multiple online and offline tournaments. Most notably Dignitas placed 3rd/4th at DreamHack Summer 2013 beating teams such as Na'Vi along the way. Fogged and Team Dignitas' success was rewarded with an invite to The International 2013, which would mark Ioannis' first appearance at an International. Dignitas had a strong early showing at TI3, boasting an 8-6 record after the group stages leaving them tied for fourth place with LGD Gaming. After losing their tiebreaker with LGD, Dignitas was placed in the losers bracket where they won their first match against RattleSnake. Their next match was a decisive loss to Orange Esports, resulting in a 9th-12th placement for the team.[3]

After TI3 Fogged, along with teammate UNiVeRsE, was handpicked by Fear to be the next member of Evil Geniuses due to his skill, experience, and great work ethic. On September 19th 2013 Fogged's contract was bought out and he became a member of EG. Fogged moved into the EG team house located in San Francisco, California, in order to train with his teammates on a daily basis. The team showed initial promise placing second at Electronic Sports World Cup 2013, however the teams play quickly fell off. Fogged's stay with EG therefore did not last very long and on February 16th 2014, he left EG to join Team Dog.[4]

In April 2014 Fogged was booted from Team Dog, as the team wanted to replace their North American members with Europeans.[5] When getting booted he had no plans to join a new team, citing real life complications,[6] but a few days later a team named North American Rejects was announced, with Fogged being part of its roster.[7] After qualifying for The International 2014, the team later became Natus Vincere North America.[8] In December the team disbanded due to poor results [9] and into 2015 saw Fogged venture into a number of teams such as Team Archon, High Council of Wizards&Priests and Steak Gaming.

In 2016, Fogged developed more into a caster position as an freelance analyst during tournaments. He later joined Beyond The Summit as an official commentator and analyst in September 2016.[10]
