Professional Career[edit]
Many hands make light work.
Stay Free[edit]
In 2013, zai switched from Heroes of Newerth to Dota 2 by joining the team Stay Free with ppd, tralf, Corey and Ensoe.
Super Strong Dinosaurs[edit]
On October 23rd, it was revealed that zai and ppd joined Super Strong Dinosaurs along with Arise, Sneyking and ComeWithMe for SLTV StarSeries Season Eight.[1] However, even after a decent performance at Starladder, the team would disband after the tournament was over.[2]
S A D B O Y S[edit]
In January 2014, zai and ppd joined Arteezy, UNiVeRsE and Fear, to create S A D B O Y S, which had immediate success. The team won 16 out of their first 18 matches, including winning the ESP Shock Therapy Cup while going undefeated.
Evil Geniuses[edit]
In February 2014, zai and the rest of S A D B O Y S were announced to be the new Evil Geniuses squad.[3] This team would go on to be one of the best Dota teams in the world throughout the first half of 2014, finishing first at a number of large events including the Monster Energy Invitational, The Summit, MLG T.K.O. America and D2L Western Challenge. While they were expected to be the top contenders for The International 2014 along with Team DK, the team would fall to Newbee and then Vici Gaming, the two teams that would go on to place first and second respectively. After The International, Evil Geniuses won many more LANs during the latter half of 2014, though started to stumble in the final month.
Team Secret[edit]
Due to the decline in Evil Geniuses's play, zai and Arteezy both left the team to join Team Secret, where zai would be switching to the offlane role.[4] In their first tournament together (Dota 2 Asia Championship 2015), the team placed 3rd and, after a disappointing placement at SLTV Star Series Season 12, would go on to dominate every LAN they attended afterwards including Red Bull Battle Grounds, The Summit 3, MarsTV Dota 2 League and ESL One Frankfurt 2015.
