Does not pierce spell immunity. Slow persists and attempts to damage if debuff was placed before spell immunity and when not dispelled.
Modifiers
Debuff Poison Attack Slow: Dispellable with any dispel.
The Netherdrake's inborn toxic breath quickly drains the vitality of its afflicted.

Notes:

  • Casting Poison Attack manually uses the 600 cast range. Attacking normally with Poison Attack on autocast uses Viper's default 575 attack range.
  • Deals damage in 1 second intervals, starting 1 second after the debuff is applied, resulting in 2 damage instances.
  • Successive casts of Poison Attack on the same target do not stack, only the debuff gets refreshed.


Nethertoxin (pre 7.07)
Cannot be used by illusions. Disabled by Break. Pierces spell immunity.

Nethertoxin causes Viper's normal attack to deal bonus damage to units based on how much health they are missing. The bonus damage doubles for each 20% of health missing from the target. Nethertoxin deals half damage to creeps and buildings.

Base Non-Hero Attack Damage Bonus: 1.5/3/4.5/6
Maximum Hero Attack Damage Bonus: 48/96/144/192
Maximum Non-Hero Attack Damage Bonus: 24/48/72/96
Poison from the Nether Reaches turns wounds into fatalities, and fatigue into death.

Notes:

  • This ability was reworked into the current Nethertoxin in the 7.07 gameplay patch.
  • The bonus damage is dealt in one instance together with the attack damage, and counts as attack damage as well.
    • It can be lifestealed off of, and is considered by crit or cleave.
    • It is not affected by percentage-based attack damage bonuses or reductions, but can be reduced with flat reductions.
  • Nethertoxin checks the attack target's health as the attack begins, not as the projectile is launched or hits.
  • This is how much damage Nethertoxin deals on each level against heroes (and non-heroes) at certain health percentages:
    • 100%–80% Health: 3/6/9/12 (1.5/3/4.5/6)
    • 80%–60% Health: 6/12/18/24 (3/6/9/12)
    • 60%–40% Health: 12/24/36/48 (6/12/18/24)
    • 40%–20% Health: 24/48/72/96 (12/24/36/48)
    • 20%–0% Health: 48/96/144/192 (24/48/72/96)

Partially usable by illusions. Illusions can carry the aura, but can't make use of the bonus damage.

Notes:

  • The aura's buff lingers for 2-4 seconds.
  • Only increases base damage and that given by the primary attribute of the affected units. Raw bonus damage is not increased.
