WAT DO - READ[edit]

K so, script picked all these notes up... feel free to pick a hero and implement the notes yourself, but the notes need to be cleaned up first. If you're doing a hero, edit and add your name to the section title in this page (e.g. == [[Earthshaker]] - RJackson ==) - so we don't get multiple people doing the same work - and then to clean up:

  • Find incomplete lines (some early notes have linebreaks at specific positions, for some reason), and complete them.
    • E.g. April 30, 2011 Patch - Adjusted how Rattletrap’s Cogs arrange nearby units when deployed should state Adjusted how Rattletrap’s Cogs arrange nearby units when deployed – they should be better about trapping unitsnow.
    • Find lines that only mention the heroes name - due to how we format the newer patches, there will be some matches that simply state: * {{Hero icon|Hero name|16px}} [[Hero name]], for instance. These need to be modified so the patch notes nested underneath that line - in the patch page - is shown in these update history sections.
      • e.g. * {{Hero icon|Huskar|16px}} [[Huskar]] from January 12, 2012 Patch should become * Fixed Lifebreak being dodgeable.
    • Also, remove any instances of {{Hero icon}} or "Hero name:" from "Hero name: lalalala" anyway - they're not needed to provide context to the notes - the notes being on the heroes page is enough context.
  • Make sure the notes are about the Hero, and not an item or bots, or other heroes. For example, * Improved {{Hero icon|Earthshaker|16px}} [[Earthshaker]] bot's Echoslam logic -* he'll now search for optimal places to Blink + Echoslam. (January 19, 2012 Patch) should not be listed for Earthshaker, or - not a real example but - "Fixed Assassinate missing Lina" should not go on Lina, but it should go on Sniper.
  • Remove references, e.g. <ref name="cyborgmatt-jan-19-2012"/> or <ref>[www.google.com lalalalallala]</ref>
  • Mark undocumented changes, in the section, by adding {{Undocumented}} before the actual note, e.g. * {{Undocumented}} An undocumented change. You'll only need to worry about the last few patches for this... the earlier ones won't have any undocumented changes - cause none of us had the game then to find and document them. Open up any patch pages mentioned in the generated update history since... October or so, and see if there's an undocumented section - if there is see if any of the generated notes are from that undocumented section. If so, do above.

It's possible there are other ways some notes could be "dirty" that I haven't picked up on, so use your own judgement too to see if the generated notes belong on the hero page(s).


O also, remove the generated entry from this page once you've done a heroes update history section. If it's not removed from here, and there's no name in the title for a section - consider the currently implemented Update History section incorrect/incomplete, and re-do it. :3
