Cast animation length
Playdota has his animation as 0.2 fronstwing and 0.3 backswing. But it is listed as being 0.51 frontswing. Can someone confirm this is indeed right?
Basher on Troll
Is there an official reason as to why Troll cannot purchase basher? The reason i ask is because the page for blink dagger includes a short description as to why it cannot be purchased by pudge and VS. I think something like that should be added to the page for skull basher. -Beef Supreme
Switching to melee form, before a ranged attack has hit, might stun the enemy. think its a bug Davanos 01:44, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Is it really needed to list that ability twice? It is a toggle spell, and the only thing which changes is the spell icon, and I think it would be better to add that as a note instead of another Ability info box just for that. It's not like e.g. Lone's true form, which gets replaced by sub-spell. In the game files, it's listed as one spell, too. Bu3ny (talk) 17:21, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Bu3ny, the reason there are two entries for that ability is because they both do different things. They are dependent on whether you are in melee mode or in ranged mode, and they have separate cool downs. --Bugattikid2012 (talk) 04:50, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- No, they don't. The npc files have it only once in there. If it would be a different spell, itwould have its own entry in the game files. It is a toggle spell, just like Rot. The NPC files also have it marked as a toggle spell (DOTA_ABILITY_BEHAVIOR_TOGGLE), so it's one spell, toggling on applies the effects, toggling off removes them. And it gets more clear when you have that spell on Rubick. When he toggles it on, the icon does not change, but all its effects are applied and it gets that green border.
- On the other hand, if we look at Lone Druid's ulti, that one actually is 2 different spells. It's not marked as a toggle spell and has 2 entries in the npc files, True Form and Druid Form. Bu3ny (talk) 12:11, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- If you don't believe me, go ahead and try it out for yourself. They are two different abilities with separate cool downs. You're simply mistaken, as if you had ever tried to do it, you would see how they have different cool downs, different animations, different damages, and different physics. --Bugattikid2012 (talk) 18:00, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
