Siltbreaker zone: The Road to Kalabor

From Dota 2 Wiki

The bandit troop that preys upon Kalabor's shrinking population survives mainly off the dwindling haul from better days.

The The Road to Kalabor is, after the starting zone, the seventh zone of the first act the Siltbreaker campaign.

Geography[edit]

The Road to Kalabor (full size)

The Road to Kalabor is a route through a canyon. To the north of the area, there is a giant chasm separating the Kalabor Desert from the road to Kalabor. The climate is presumably semiarid, judging by the unusual rich flora, with plants on every hill and giant roots ranking through the grounds. However, it seems like it slowly turns into a desert, facing a heavy dry period so that most plants are dead and the ground is forming giant cracks in it, most likely the results of Rhyzik's work.

The path itself is straight forward, as it does not split off anywhere and is one continuous line towards the entry to the Kalabor Oasis. However, due to nature, the path is not direct and has to back and forth a few times. The path starts at the very east and first goes northwards before turning west. It goes along the giant chasm mentioned earlier. After going a while, the path takes a left U turn. Again after a short while, it takes another U turn, but to the right. From here, the path goes south-west until reaching the southern-most part. Here the path turns one last time to the right, straight to the entrance of the Kalabor Oasis. This last part of the path is much wider than any of its previous parts.

Objects[edit]

The checkpoint shrine is located at the small encampment where Brigwyr waits to get escorted. It is located on the right side of the camp, next to the shop.

There is one Gastromancer Notes in The Road to Kalabor. It is located on the path, hidden behind some dead trees. After taking the second U turn, where the path starts going south-west, there is a small extension towards the left of the path. The note is located right behind the trees at the beginning of the extension, together with some vases.

Treasure chests[edit]

Treasure chests have a 50% chance to spawn at any of the marked areas on the map. The chest located on the first part of the path after the shop camp has a 100% chance of spawning and has different loot. The chests of the Temple of Ermacor can drop the following items:

There is a 2% chance to drop the following artifacts instead:

The guaranteed chest has the same gold bag and trap values and the same chances to drop the same artifacts. However, its item drop list contains only a Cheese icon.png Cheese, instead of the 8 items the other chests can drop.

Vases[edit]

Vases have a 100% chance to spawn at all of the marked areas on the map. The number of vases are indicated on the map. There are a total of 90 vases in the The Road to Kalabor. Vases have a chance to drop the following items:
