  • Reduced Bounty Rune minimap icon.png Bounty Rune gold growth per minute from 3 to 2.

    • Now only gets dispelled by player-based and Roshan-based damage, instead of any source.
    • No longer has a 20 minimum damage threshold to get dispelled.
    • No longer has a special rule for getting dispelled by regular attacks. [?]
  • Runes are now two different categories: Powerup Runes (Haste, Double Damage, etc.) and Bounty Runes.
    • They do not spawn at the start of the game.
  • Bounty Runes are no longer located in the River. Including the start of the game.
  • Powerup Rune spawns now occur at only one river location at a time.
  • Each of the four jungles now spawns a Bounty Rune every 2 minutes.
  • Greevil's Greed Bounty Rune multiplier rescaled from 3/4/5/6x to a constant 2x
  • Bottle (Full) icon.png Bottle now only replenishes 2 charges when filled with a Bounty Rune.
    • Hero will auto-consume Bounty Runes if Bottle already has full charges.
  • Haste rune duration reduced from 25 to 22 seconds.
  • Initial Bounty Rune no longer gives 100 experience. [?]
  • Double Damage and Haste no longer have special rules for being dispelled by spell immunity.
  • Reduced Arcane Rune mana cost reduction from 50% to 40%.

  • Double Damage now affects the unit which activates it, instead of all heroes under the player's control within a 500 radius around the unit which activates it.

  • First rune spawns are now both Bounty Runes that are twice as effective (50/50 gold/xp to 100/100).

  • Melee illusions created by a Rune of Illusion take 200% instead of 300% damage.

  • Rune of Regeneration now expires once you reach max health and mana.
  • Added allied-only text message when an ally bottles or picks up a rune.
  • Illusion Rune: Now creates 2 images instead of 1, images deal a little less damage.
  • Reduced extra damage taken by rune illusions.
  • Changed durations of some power-ups (Haste 45->30, Illusion 60->75, Regen 45->30).
  • Illusion from runes lasts a little longer now (40->60).
