Restoration manipulation
Restoration manipulation refers to any form of amplification and reduction applied to health restoration (also known as heals), lifesteal, health regeneration, mana restoration, and mana regeneration.

Heal manipulation[edit]
Heal manipulation affects every ability that heals a unit. A list of healing abilities can be found here.
All sources of heal manipulation whether incoming or outgoing stack diminishingly with each other. Heal manipulation has a lower limit of -100%.
The following abilities provide heal manipulation
- Heal amplification: 6%/10%/14%/18%
Aura, affects all nearby allies. - Heal reduction: 40%
Affects the attacked enemy. - Heal amplification: 35%
Amplifies all healing the item owner provides. - Heal amplification: 75%
Affects the caster. - Heal amplification: 14%
Amplifies all healing the item owner provides. - Heal reduction: 25%
Aura, affects all nearby enemies. - Heal reduction: 45%
Affects the targeted enemy. - Heal amplification: 40%
Passive.
Lifesteal manipulation[edit]
Lifesteal manipulation affects every ability that has lifesteal. This does not include spell lifesteal. A list of lifesteal abilities can be found here.
All sources of lifesteal manipulation stack diminishingly with each other. Lifesteal manipulation has a lower limit of -100%.
The following abilities provide lifesteal manipulation
- Lifesteal reduction: 40%
Affects the attacked enemy. - Lifesteal amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Lifesteal amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Lifesteal amplification: 14%
Affects the item owner. - Lifesteal amplification: 24%
Affects the item owner. - Lifesteal amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Lifesteal reduction: 25%
Aura, affects all nearby enemies. - Lifesteal reduction: 45%
Affects the targeted enemy.
Spell lifesteal manipulation[edit]
Spell lifesteal manipulation affects every ability that has spell lifesteal. This does not include regular lifesteal. A list of spell lifesteal abilities can be found here.
All sources of spell lifesteal manipulation stack diminishingly with each other. Spell lifesteal manipulation has a lower limit of -100%.
The following abilities provide spell lifesteal manipulation
- Spell lifesteal reduction: 40%
Affects the attacked enemy. - Spell lifesteal amplification: 24%
Affects the item owner. - Spell lifesteal amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Spell lifesteal amplification: 14%
Affects the item owner. - Spell lifesteal reduction: 25%
Aura, affects all nearby enemies. - Spell lifesteal reduction: 45%
Affects the targeted enemy. - Spell lifesteal amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner.
Health regen manipulation[edit]
Health regen manipulation affects explicitly the health regen value of affected units.
All sources of health regen manipulation stack diminishingly with each other. Health regen manipulation has a lower limit of -100%.
The following abilities provide health regen manipulation
- Health regen amplification: 6%/10%/14%/18%
Aura, affects all nearby allies. - Health regen reduction: 40%
Affects the attacked enemy. - Health regen amplification: 24%
Affects the item owner. - Health regen amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Health regen amplification: 75%
Affects the caster. - Health regen amplification: 14%
Affects the item owner. - Health regen amplification: 24%
Affects the item owner. - Health regen amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Health regen reduction: 25%
Aura, affects all nearby enemies. - Health regen reduction: 45%
Affects the targeted enemy. - Health regen amplification: 40%
Passive. - Health regen reduction: 35%
Affects the attacked enemy.
Stacking[edit]
Heal, health regeneration, lifesteal, and spell lifesteal amplifications stack diminishingly, so do reductions. However, amplifications and reductions are calculated separately, and then the sum of reductions gets subtracted from the sum of the amplifications.
The total restoration manipulation is defined as
With a
being the index of any amplification, r
being the index of any reduction. There cannot be no amplification or no reduction, use 0 as a value in those cases.
To get the multiplier for the actual heal amount
- Example 1
- Treant Protector affected by Nature's Guise, Level 4 Divine Favor, Freezing Aura, and Cold Attack. What is his current total restoration manipulation multiplier?
- Amplifications: Nature's Guise: 0.4, Divine Favor: 0.18
- Reductions: Freezing Aura: 0.25, Cold Attack: 0.4
- Treant Protector's restoration manipulator in this example would be reduced down to 95.8%, giving us a multiplier of 0.958.
Health freeze[edit]
A unit's health can also be frozen, so that no heals, lifesteal, or regeneration can increase it.
The following abilities freeze health
- Duration: 10/11/12
Mana restore manipulation[edit]
Mana restore manipulation affects every ability that restores a unit's mana. A list of restoring abilities can be found here.
All sources of mana restore manipulation stack additively with each other.
The following abilities provide mana restore manipulation
- Mana restore amplification: 75%
Affects the caster.
Mana regen manipulation[edit]
Mana regen manipulation affects explicitly the mana regen value of affected units.
All sources of mana regen manipulation stack additively with each other.
The following abilities provide mana regen manipulation
- Mana regen amplification: 100%
Affects the item owner. - Mana regen amplification: 75%
Affects the caster. - Mana regen amplification: 24%
Affects the item owner. - Mana regen amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner. - Mana regen amplification: 30%
Affects the item owner.
