Infest (Pre 6.72)

Affects

The Lifestealer tears its way into the unfortunate body of a target unit, laying dormant and undetectable inside its living frame until he is ready to consume it and come to form. Regains health from the infested unit.
Cast Animation: 0.1+0
Cast Range: 150
Level 1 Allowed Targets: Allied & Neutral Units
Level 2 Allowed Targets: Allied, Enemy & Neutral Units
Level 3 Allowed Targets: Allied, Enemy & Neutral Units
Cooldown: 100/60/30
Mana: 50
Modifiers
Buff Infest: Undispellable.
With this infestation, N'aix consumes the life blood of the host, restoring him back to full unholy power.

Notes:

  • This ability got reworked into the current Infest in the 6.72 gameplay patch.
  • Lifestealer gains experience and gold while under the effect of Infest.
  • During Infest, all of Lifestealer's other spells are turned inactive, and Infest is replaced by Consume icon.png Consume.
  • During Infest, Lifestealer is periodically moved to the host's current position. This affects multiple things such as:
    • When Infest ends (be it via Consume, or the host dies), Lifestealer appears at the host's location.
    • Every aura Lifestealer has (including Gem of True Sight icon.png Gem of True Sight and Radiance (Active) icon.png Radiance) affect units around the host.
    • Effects which react on heroes' presence, such as Smoke of Deceit icon.png Smoke of Deceit, Marksmanship or Blur, react on the host's presence.
  • Infest does not stop any regeneration. So Lifestealer returns with the health and mana he had before Infest + the Infest heal + what he could regenerate during it.
  • The infested unit is marked with a visual effect above it, visible to allies only.
