Due to the scale of the Dota 2 community, and especially its Competitive Scene, the following Notability guidelines have been drafted to ensure content documented on the Wiki is concise and of interest to the Dota 2 community.

Competitive scene[]

Tournaments[]

  • Tournaments with at least one team participating that is covered by the wiki will be mentioned in the tournaments page.
  • Tournaments with a prize pool totaling more than $500 USD will get their own page.
  • For any special circumstances, a consensus will need to be established.

Teams[]

To be documented, a team MUST meet the following requirements:

  1. Sponsored by a stable organization. (A rule of thumb is that they are able to go to LANs)

AND one of the following requirements:

  1. The team (consisting of core players) has achieved Top 4 in a premier Dota 2 tournament (A tournament with at least 8 participating teams and 6 or more already documented teams participating in).
  2. The organization has inherent achievements from DotA/Dota 2, placing Top 4 in a premier tournament.
  3. Participate in The International.

Players[]

A player must have:

  1. Played Dota 2 competitively
  2. Played for a team meeting the notability criteria for teams.

Broadcasters[]

A broadcaster must have:

  1. Casted an official stream for a tournament meeting the notability criteria for tournaments.
