Plant an invisible mine that explodes when an enemy steps near. Deals half damage to targets further away. Mines explode 'immediately when triggered.

Tremorsense: Mines slowly move towards enemy heroes who come too close, becoming faster as they move.

Whoops!: Grants a chance to throw a land mine on every attack.

Spoon's Barrel Workshop: Spoon is also working inside his barrel! Periodically grants TEchies big boom charges, which are spent on cast, deploying one extra mine per charge. Maximum charges and charge recovery speed increases as Techies level up.

Notes:

  • Land mines explode when an enemy enters their small activation radius, but deal damage to all units in the larger explosion radius.
  • Tremor Sense activates when heroes step inside the explosion radius.
  • Explosion and Tremor Sense will be activated by invisible units.* Mines still detonate when destroyed.
  • Land Mines grant a small gold bounty if killed by enemy heroes, but still explode normally.
  • The mines can be stacked on top of each other, as they no longer have a collision size.
  • The damage source is the mine itself and therefore will not reflect damage to Techies (e.g. Blade Mail icon.png Blade Mail).
  • Flying units cannot trigger or be damaged by the mines.
  • Land mines which are already placed do not upgrade when you level up the ability.

Notes:

  • Stasis Traps last indefinitely until triggered or destroyed.

  • Chain Reaction does not trigger twice for the same unit on the same cast of Stasis Trap.
    • However, enemies can still receive multiple instances of mana burn from the Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter. Aghanim's upgrade.

Techies' respawn time is reduced by 50% when killed by this ability. Parting Gift: Techies drop one (two Land Mines) of each type of mine currently learned at their position when dying or suiciding.

What's this button do?

Notes:

  • Damages enemies in the area before killing Techies, so Techies still gets the experience when enemies die to this spell.
  • Respawn timer reduction is calculated with the following priority: Buyback, then 50% from Suicide Squad, Attack!, and lastly the flat reduction from Bloodstone icon.png Bloodstone's charges.
  • Provides 400 radius ground vision at Techies location for 2 seconds after the suicide.
  • Destroys trees within 500 radius around Techies upon cast.

Minefield Sign

Plant a warning sign to remind enemies to step lightly. Lasts forever, but only one sign can exist at a time. Cannot be planted near enemy structures, including their Fountain.

Aghanim's upgrade: Hides nearby Land Mines, Stasis Traps, and Remote Mines from True Sight.

Notes:

  • This is an innate ability and cannot be learned or leveled.
  • Only one sign can exist on the map at a time.
  • The sign has no collision and cannot block unit pathing.
  • Does not block neutral creep camps.
  • Aghanim's Scepter icon.png Aghanim's Scepter grants the Minefield Sign an aura, which turns nearby mines immune to True Sight.
    • The aura only affects Land Mines, Stasis Traps and Remote Mines. Other kinds of wards are not affected.
    • The aura affects the mines of all allied players, not just the ones of Techies himself.
    • The aura's buff lingers for 0.5 seconds.

  • Level 2 mines are 10% bigger than level 1 mines and level 3 mines are 20% bigger than level 1 mines.
