Summons a rising torrent that, after a 2 second delay hurls all enemies in a 225 radius of the target point into the sky, stunning them for 1.6 seconds, dealing damage, and slowing movement by 35%.

Salty Geyser: Secondary torrents spawn every 2 seconds after the initial Torrent. They only have 225 radius, deal 50 damage, stun for 0.5 seconds, and slow for 1.5 seconds.

An ancestral rush of water explodes from the center of the world, called upon by the Admiral.

Notes:

  • Bonus effect is only triggered if Kunkka is currently affected by one of Tidebringer's buffs.
  • Using Torrent does not change which Tidebringer buffs are affecting Kunkka, therefore preferential effects may be kept if usage of Tidebringer is avoided.
  • Secondary torrents spawn where you cast Torrent.

Targets a friendly or enemy Hero, marks their position with an X, and returns them to it after 4 seconds. Kunkka can trigger the return at any time during the duration. Lasts twice as long on allied heroes. Back so soon?: If the returned target is an enemy it will be returned once more again after 1/1/1/1/2/3/4 seconds. This secondary effect cannot be triggered early with Return.

Ebb and Flow

Grants Kunkka one of several Tide Buffs. Using an ability while having a Tide buff consumes the buff, triggering this ability's cooldown. Activating this ability consumes the buff without tirggering any of its effects, and puts it on cooldown. The buffs follow a set order:

This cycle repeats indefinitely. Every time a buff is granted, there is a 20% chance to gain the special Dota IMBA Ebb and Flow Tsunami icon.png Tsunami buff instead, which grants the bonuses from all other tides. This does not break the order of the cycle, continuing it from where it stopped after Dota IMBA Ebb and Flow Tsunami icon.png Tsunami is spent.

Adapting and taking maximum advantage of the sea's ever-changing tide is the mark of the best Admirals.

Summons a ghostly ship that sails through battle before smashing apart, damaging all enemies caught near the wreckage and stunning them for 1.4 seconds. Allied heroes touched by the Ghost Ship are given a swig of The Admiral's Rum, receiving 10% bonus move speed and a delayed reaction to incoming damage.

ON A BOAT: The ship drags enemies along its path.

Aghanim's upgrade: Causes the ship to drop from the sky on the targeted area, landing after 1 second delay. Enemies caught in the crashing point take damage, become stunned and rooted, and dragged by hte ship towards the end point. Also changed the effect of some Ebb and Flow Tides:

Partially pierces spell immunity. Fully affects spell immune allies.

Modifiers

Debuff Stunned: Dispellable with strong dispels.
Debuff Ghost Ship Knockback: Unknown dispel interaction.
The final ship of the Claddish Navy is nothing but a phantom, but it is all too real to the enemies of the Admiral.

Notes:

  • Enemies hit by the ship are dealt minor damage and dragged to its impact point.
  • Kunkka turns to face the target point; the ship then spawns 1000 (Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter. 2000) units behind Kunkka, travels forward, and finishes 1000 units ahead of Kunkka.
  • Aghanim's Scepter upgrade does not affect the ship's Impact Delay, it will still take 3/2/1.5 seconds to arrive to its destination.
  • The new dragging effect is similar to Skewer.
    • Enemies are dragged to the destination point if they are hit by the ship's radius during any point of its travel.
  • Enemies hit will be dragged to the center of the destination marker (the sword).

(Im)balance changelog[edit]

6.85.6c

  • Torrent now grants vision on cast, instead of after erupting. Vision duration from 2 to 3.5 seconds.
  • Tidebringer:
    • Still a passive (not an autocast ability).
    • Cooldown from 10/8/6/4 to 9/7/5/3.
    • Damage from 20/35/50/65 to 25/40/55/70.
  • Ghostship:
    • No longer stuns enemies while dragging them (now matches regular Dota behavior). Still deals damage on impact, making it impossible to evade the boat with Blink Dagger.
    • Mana cost from 150/200/250 to 125/175/225.

  • Torrent:
    • Radius from 325 to 425.
    • Tidebringer - High Tide now increases the Torrent's slow from 35 to 50% (used to increase Torrent's radius and damage by 100).
    • Tidebringer - Tsunami now increases Torrent's damage by 120 (used to only knock enemies to its center).
  • Tidebringer:
    • The various "tide" buffs - Wave Break, High Tide and Tsunami - now trigger independently, and their effects all stack. The chance for any specific buff to be present is 35% (from 25%).
  • X Marks the Spot:
    • Cast range from 550/700/850/1000 to 600/800/1000/1200.
    • When activated, will now drag back allies of the target unit in 300/400/500/600 radius of it (previously 200/275/350/425).
      • For increased clarity, the X trail is now also drawn on targets which enter the X return's area of influence.
