Acid Spray
Acid Spray icon.png
Sprays high-pressure acid across a target area. Enemy units who step across the contaminated terrain take damage per second and have their armor reduced.
Sticky Acid: Enemies inside the acid's area accumulate stacks of Sticky Acid every second, further increasing the damage from the acid and the armor reduction. When targets are no longer standing on the acid, the stacks degrade every second.
Cast Animation: 0.2+0.7

Stacks Degrade Rate: 1
Cooldown: 22
Mana: 130/140/150/160/170/180/190
Debuff Sticky Acid: Dispellable with any dispel.
Using traditional Alchemy from the Darkbrew family, Razzil concocts an acid that dissolves even the toughest metals.

  • The armor reduction is provided by an aura. Its debuff lingers for 0.5 seconds.
  • Deals damage in 1 second intervals, starting 1 second after receiving the debuff, resulting in up to 16 instance, plus the amount of stacks accumulated on Sticky Acid (Up to 18/18/18/18/19/20/21 damage instances).
  • Can deal up to 270/360/450/540/665/800/945 damage to a single unit (before reductions).

Unstable Concoction
Unstable Concoction icon.png
No Target
Alchemist brews up an unstable concoction that he can throw at an enemy hero, to stun and deal damage in an area around the explosion. The longer the concoction brews, the more damage it deals and the longer the stun. After a few seconds, the brew reaches its maximum damage and stun time. However, half a second later, the concoction will explode on Alchemist himself if not thrown.

Bigger Bottles: Increases the explosion radius when thrown after the base duration.
Golden Substance: Each stack of Goblin's Greed increases the maximum brew duration.
Highly Combustible: If Unstable Concoction hits an enemy inside Acid Spray's pool of acid, it explodes violently, dealing a portion of its damage to all enemies in the acid pool.

Instant Repulsion: All Sticky Acid's stacks on the main target are consumed, dealing their damage instantly.
Cast Animation: 0+0
Cast Range: 775
Base Brew Duration: 5
Maximum Stun Duration: 1.75/2.5/3.25/4/4/4/4
Base Brew Damage: 150/220/290/360/400/440/480
Explosion Radius: 175
Bigger Bottles Bonus Radius: 45/45/45/45/90/145/180
Highly Combustible Damage: 25%
Golden Substance Bonus Duration per Stack: 0.02
Cooldown: 16
Mana: 120
Does not pierce spell immunity. Does not affect self when blowing up while spell immune, but still applies the area effect.
Blocked by Linken's Sphere. Only blocked on the main target. Does not block when taking damage from it exploding on someone without Linken's Sphere.
Buff Unstable Concoction: Undispellable.
Debuff Stunned: Dispellable with strong dispels.
A silver lining to the failure of turning a mountain into gold, this volatile solution has destructive potential.

  • Interrupts Alchemist's channeling spells upon cast.
  • The targeting reticule must be centered over an enemy unit.
  • A timer above Alchemist's head shows how much time is left before the Concoction blows up. This timer is visible to allies only.
  • The brewing animation and particles are visible to everyone. The sound can be heard by enemies only when the spell was cast within their vision range.
  • Unstable Concoction always affects a 175 area around where it explodes, including when it explodes on Alchemist.
  • While brewing the concoction, Alchemist can still move around and take action.
  • Alchemist can deny himself with this ability.
  • Bigger Bottles radius bonus is given when the brewing time exceeds 5 seconds. It doesn't matter how long it was still brewing since.
  • Highly Combustible's explosion damage is centered on the acid pool's center area, and not the main target. The explosion has the same radius as the pool, covering all of it.
  • Instant Repulsion deals the expected damage over time of Sticky Acid immediately and removes the debuff.
    • This means that the armor reduction bonus from stacks is lost.
      • However, the damage from both Highly Combustible and Sticky Acid is dealt first, dealing increased bonus, as they're both Physical damage.
    • It also means that the target can accumulate new Sticky Acid stacks, if they're still standing on an acid pool.

Unstable Concoction Throw
Unstable Concoction Throw icon.png
Throw it before it blows up!
Cast Animation: 0.2+0.5
Cast Range: 900
Does not pierce spell immunity. Cannot target spell immune units. When the projectile connects with a spell immune unit, it still affects other units within the radius.
Blocked by Linken's Sphere. Blocked upon impact by the main target.
Debuff Stunned: Dispellable with strong dispels.

  • The concoction travels at a speed of 1000 and cannot be disjointed.
  • Once thrown, Unstable Concoction stops brewing.
  • Cannot be cast on, but can stun and damage creep-heroes within the radius.
  • Connecting with an invulnerable or hidden target completely nullifies the concoction, including the AoE stun and damage.

Greevil's Greed
Can be used by illusions. Disabled by Break.
Greevil's Greed icon.png
Self / Enemy Units
Alchemist synthesizes additional gold from his enemies and bounty runes. With each kill, Alchemist earns base bonus gold and extra bonus gold. If Alchemist kills another unit which yields gold within the next 30 seconds, an additional instance of Extra Bonus Gold is added to the total. Additionally, causes bounty runes to yield 2.5 times their normal gold.

Pocketful of Gold: Last hitting an enemy grants a multiplication of the bonus gold.
Goldenfinger: Goblin's Greed can be used to convert a creep into pure gold, gaining a multiplication of its bounty and exp bonuses, and permanently adding stacks of Greevil's Greed.

Golden Greevil: After casting Goldenfinger on a creep, a Golden Greevil spawns from the corpse. It then follows Alchemist and periodically grants gold, equal to a portion of your Greevil's Greed stacks.
Cast Range: 900
Base Gold Bonus: 8/10/12/14/14/14/14
Gold Per Kill: 5
Hero Kill Gold Multiplier: 1/1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5/4

Golden Greevil Gold: 25%
Bounty Rune Gold Multiplier: 2.5
Goldenfinger Bonus Gold/EXP Multiplication: 2.2
Goldenfinger Permanent Greevil's Greed Stacks: 3
Cooldown: 30
Can be used by illusions. Illusions gain bonus gold the same way as Alchemist. They have their own, independent counter. Howerver, they cannot activate Goldenfinger.
Buff Goblins Greed: Undispellable.
While it is not a mountain, Razzil has mastered the conversion of smaller compounds to line his pockets.

  • Greevil's Greed triggers on every last hit Alchemist makes, excluding last hits on allies, illusions and Power Cogs.
  • All stacks work fully independently from each other. They last 30 seconds each and do not refresh each other.
  • Alchemist himself has to last hit to gain a stack, making last hits with other owned units does not add to his current stack.
  • The status buff icon shows how much extra gold Alchemist gains on his next last hit.
  • Upon last hitting, a second gold bounty number appears over Alchemist, showing the amount of extra gold earned. This number is only visible to Alchemist.
  • Greevil's Greed causes Bounty Runes to grant Alchemist 2.5 times of what they usually grant. This includes the 0th minute runes.
  • Goldenfinger immediately kills the target unit. However, it modifies its gold and experience bounty before granting it to the player.
  • Golden Greevil is flying unit that follows Alchemist around, and can be seen to anyone.
  • The Golden Greevil does not teleport with Alchemist, and simply tries to reach its master. The gold is granted regardless of the distance and is purely visual.
  • The Golden Greevil lasts 10 seconds, granting gold every 2 seconds since spawning, resulting in 5 gold instances.
    • Those gold instances accumulate to 25% of your current Greevil's Greed stacks.
      • However, since those checks are done on every interval, gold gained from each instance can vary if Alchemist generates enough Greevil's Greed stacks in between.

Chemical Rage
Chemical Rage icon.png
No Target
Alchemist causes his Ogre to enter a chemically induced rage, reducing base attack cooldown and increasing movement speed and regeneration.
Acidic Emanation: While Chemical Rage is active, Alchemist emits an aura of acid that only affects enemy units affected with Sticky Acid, which doubles the stack limit on Sticky Acid, and causes another, additional instance of Sticky Acid that fully stacks with the regular debuff. While enemies are affected by this aura, they do not lose Sticky Acid stacks.

Aghanim's upgrade: Alchemist can cast Aghanim's Scepter on an ally or himself, granting the hero all Aghanim's stats and their upgrades. Aghanim's Scepter is consumed in the process. Also grants the Mammonite skill.
Partially usable by illusions. Illusions benefit from everything but the health regen and mana regen. Illusions created during Chemical Rage get a new Chemical Rage buff which lasts its full duration, regardless of how much was left on Alchemist himself.
Buff Chemical Rage Transform: Undispellable.
Buff Chemical Rage: Undispellable.
Buff Ultimate Scepter Consumed: Undispellable.
The brew Razzil gave to the Ogre during their prison bust has become a useful potion in the midst of combat.

  • Since it increases the hero's base health and mana regeneration, they are fully affected by percentage increment and decrements.
  • The Aghanim's Scepter icon.png Aghanim's Scepter can only be cast on allied heroes (excluding Meepo minimap icon.png Meepo clones and illusions) once.
    • Doing so transfers the net worth of the item from Alchemist to the target hero. Self-casting does not change the net worth.
    • Doing so does not change either Alchemist's GPM nor the target's.
  • Acidic Emanation has an green aura effect at Alchemist's feet.
  • Acidic Emanation does nothing to enemies that are not affected by Sticky Acid.
  • Acidic Emanation causes the damage instances to be dealt twice on each tick, effectively doubling the damage a tick does.
    • However, it does not increase the armor reduction further.

Cannot be used by illusions. Not blocked by Linken's Sphere. Pierces spell immunity.
Alchemist mammonite.png
When toggled on, Alchemist uses a portion of his total gold, convering his punches with gold. Each attack consumes some of the gold and deals it as bonus damage.
Current Gold As Damage: 2%
You can use money to do other things than just buy items.

  • This ability is granted as long as Alchemist holds an Aghanim's Scepter icon.png Aghanim's Scepter.
    • This means that losing it in any way removes the ability, including by granting the scepter to another hero.
  • First deals the damage, then reduces the gold.
  • The more gold Alchemist has, the stronger the attack will become, but the gold consumption increases for the same amount.
  • Reduces unreliable gold first, if any available, then reliable gold.
  • Gold is spent by attacking, regardless whether the attack landed or missed.
  • Toggling the ability off removes the gold penalty and the bonus damage from attacking.
