Broodmother's rare idle animation plays during injured phase
While injured, Broodmother uses her rare idle animation, which clashes with her injured idle animation. She has 1 rare idle animation which can currently play while injured.
Spiderling portraits always have 2 default spiderlings in the background
The portraits of Spiderlings
always have 2 random spiderlings in the background, which have different sizes and facing directions each time the spider gets reselected. The extra spiders are motionless and clip with the selected spider in the portrait.
When having a custom Spiderling model equipped, the default spiders are still in the background.
Spiderites do not have unit icons Spiderites
are missing a unit icon, so they appear as blank spaces in the kill card after getting killed.
The buff responsible for the talent bonuses is not hidden
The spiders have a modifier which applies the talent buffs to them (this modifier is always there, even when the talents are not chosen). This buff has no informational value, and should therefore be hidden.
Poison Sting uses creep duration against creep-heroes instead of hero duration
Usually, when a spell has a hero duration and a creep duration, it uses the hero duration for creep-heroes
. But the Spiderling's Poison Sting
uses the creep-duration for creep-heroes.
Poison Sting is not disabled by Break
The Spiderling's Poison Sting is not disabled by Break
, despite being a regular passive ability.
Spiderling's Poison Sting works against wards
The Spiderling's Poison Sting is able to place its debuff on ward
-type units. This is mostly pointless, since wards are generally immune to spell damage
, and usually cannot move.
Spawn Spiderite is not disabled by Break
The Spiderling's Spawn Spiderite
is not disabled by Break, despite being a regular passive ability.
Spin Web, Moonlight Shadow, Cloak and Dagger and Glimmer Cape share the same invisibility modifier, causing some conflicts Spin Web
, Moonlight Shadow
and Cloak and Dagger
currently use the same modifier to apply the invisibility ("modifier_invisible"). This causes some issues when affected by two of them at the same time, since the buff does not stack. This is best observable on enemies. When for example Broodmother is affected by Glimmer Cape and Spin Web at the same time, she gets revealed for one server tick as soon as Glimmer Cape expires. This reveal may be enough to proc some effects which react onvisible enemies, like Stasis Trap
All 4 abilities should have their unique modifiers for the invisibility, which do not interfere with each other.
Spin Web's search radius for the global cast range is too big
When casting Spin Web so that it touches another web, it has a global cast range. But this search range for webs is currently too big. Spin Webs have a radius of 900. Therefore, the global cast range should only apply when there is a web within 900 range of the new targeted point. However, the search range is 1000 currently, and not 900. This means when using the max possible range, there will be gaps between the webs, which is usually not desiered. The webs will not be connected properly.
Destroy Spin Web ability disappears for other selected webs when used
When selecting multiple Spin Webs, using the Destroy Spin Web
ability causes the ability to disappear from the HUD for all remaining selected webs, so that it can no longer be cast by clicking on it with the mouse. The hotkey still works though.
Spin Webs are difficult to see on some custom terrains
Spin Webs are way too transparent for some custom terrains. It is hard to tell where the webs end on the Desert
and Reef's Edge
terrains, which all have much brighter ground.
Spin Web's loop sound doesn't play for the 9th to 16th webs
The loop sound of the Spin Webs currently only works for the first 8 webs placed. If you choose the +8 webs talent and place a 9th, 10th, etc web, these webs do not have the loop sound.
Spin Webs' loop sound have several issues upon destroying one web
When having multiple Spin Webs on the map, they all should have their looping sound on them. However, there are several issues with the loop sound, which occur upon destroying a web.
- Upon destroying one random web, all but one webs lose their looping sound, instead of only the one getting destroyed.
- When destroying the one web which kept its loop sound, its loop sound does not end and gets stuck until all other webs are destroyed.
- Newly placed webs do not emit any sound. In order for new webs to play the loop sound, you must destroy all axisting webs first.
Spin Web's "no charges" error message does not work
When attempting to cast a spell without any charges left, the "no *spell name
* charges" error message appears. However, the error messages of Spin Web does not work. It shows "CUSTOM ERROR
" instead of its own error message. Shrapnel
has this issue as well.
Spin Webs have no portrait
Spin Webs do not have a portrait. Their portrait window is an empty grey box.
Insatiable Hunger can lifesteal off of allies and wardsLifesteal
can generally not heal off of allies and wards. But Insatiable Hunger can, as the only source of lifesteal.
Insatiable Hunger's cast sound does not play again on re-cast
When re-casting Insatiable Hunger, its cast sound does not play again. This is because the spell only uses a single sound. The initial cast part and the following looping part are a single sound file. They should be 2 separate files, a cast sound and a loop sound. The cast sound shoud always play upon cast, and the loop sound should play while the buff is up.
Lycosidae's Brood immortal item is missing injured idle, web idle animations
Broodmother has 4 idle animations: regular idle, injured idle, web idle, injured webl idle. Lycosidae's Brood
replaces the regular idle with a custom regular idle. This custom version has the hind legs further apart, so they do not clip with the item. However, it does not do that for the other 3 animations. This results in her using the wrong animations at given conditions.
The immortal should also have a custom injured idle, custom web idle and custom injured web idle animations.
All of the custom Spiderlings and Spiderites are missing death sounds
The default Spiderlings and Spiderites have death sounds. The custom spides do not have it. They are completely silent on death. They should inherit death sound from the default spiders.
