Consume 150 HP to temporarily gain 150 mana. Lasts 10 seconds.
- Any unused mana of the 150 gained mana will be lost after 10 seconds. This lost mana is not converted back to health.
- If the mana cannot fit into your mana pool, it creates a mana buffer that lasts for 10 seconds. Any Mana in the buffer not spent is lost.
- If used with 150 HP or less remaining, it will reduce the bearer's health to 1 HP, like Armlet of Mordiggian.
- Using Sacrifice every time it is off cooldown is equivalent to gaining 5 mana per second at the cost of 5 health per second, assuming all mana is used.
- The Soul Ring itself provides an additional 3 HP/s, meaning the player needs only another 2 HP/s to compensate for the health loss.

Trivia
- Soul Ring was the only item not allowed in The International 2013 Solo Championship[1].
Tips
- If the player drops a large mana pool item such as Bloodstone or Scythe of Vyse before using the Soul Ring, the player will regain a larger percentage of their mana pool. When the player picks the item up again, because mana percentage does not change, the player will effectively regain more mana.
