Taunt is a disable that forces one or more units to attack another unit.
While taunted, players are unable to issue conflicting orders to afflicted units, except some abilities which can be cast while disabled. As such, being taunted usually interrupts attacks, cast animations, channeled spells, and breaks most sources of invisibility.
Taunted units behave as if they have been issued a normal attack order, and attempt to move within attack range of their target. They do not use blinks or other spells to close the distance between them and their target. When the duration of the taunt is over, they continue to attack their target until they are issued another order, with the exception of Winter's Curse.
Sources of taunt[edit | edit source]
- Duration: 2.0/2.4/2.8/3.2
Forces all nearby enemy units to attack the caster.
- Duration: 1.2/1.6/2/2.4
Forces nearby enemy units to run towards their fountain. Unlike other sources of taunt, this ability prevents acting.
- Duration: 3.25/4/4.75
Forces nearby enemy units to attack one of their allies.
