Jonathan "Loda" Berg is a professional Dota 2 player currently coaching for team Alliance. Having played professionally since 2006 together with team-mate and support player Akke and creating and captaining several successful teams, he is one of the biggest veterans in the scene. Considered one of the best players in the world during the 2007-2008 era, he was one of the few players raised up to legendary status by the Chinese, giving him the nickname "L-God" and is still very famous in the Chinese Dota community[1]. Rivaling Danish veteran captain Maelk, who lead team MYM in many finals versus Loda's successful DotA: Allstars team SK Gaming had this to say about him during his peak with SK in 2008:[2]
Professional Career[]
SK Gaming[]
Team_Team received sponsorship from SK Gaming. In July 2007's TFL, SK defeated MYM with Merlini underpeforming in the final and became champions. But it will be a long time before SK won another one. SK had fallen from the spotlight during Virtus.pro's dominance and changed roster several times. With the disappearance of the ganking era, Loda has shown his farming abilities to the world with his Morphling. March 2008 in EMS, SK defeated MYM 2-0 in the finals to take gold, and has since won MYM Prime Defending #10, Dreamhack Summer 2008 and ESWC. However, roster changes struck and Loda has fallen down from the limelight. Loda finally left SK Gaming and SK soon disbanded its DotA squad.
Return to MYM[]
After leaving SK Gaming, Loda returned to MYM. But after only one championship, MYM faced financial troubles and disbanded.
Fnatic[]
Loda joined Fnatic and went to China to participate in ADL.
Comeback with xP[]
After being in the HoN scene, Loda has made a comeback to Dota 2 with the team xP and will participate in the qualifiers of InsideDOTA Invitational and BenQ 'The Clash 2'.
Counter Logic Gaming[]
Experience showed some strong performances and got picked up by Counter Logic Gaming in February 2012.
Team Zenith[]
After leaving CLG, Loda moved to Singapore and joined Team Zenith. The team achieved 5th position at The International 2012, after which Loda left the team.
No Tidehunter[]
After leaving Zenith, Loda joined No Tidehunter. The roster did well, but ended up kicking its non-Swedish members to make an all Swedish team.
Alliance[]
When No Tidehunter became an all Swedish roster, it was quickly picked up by Alliance. This team would go on to win The International 2013.
