Disarm is a type of status effect that prevents the afflicted unit from attacking, although they can still cast spells.

If a disarmed unit is ordered to attack, they will attempt to stay within attack range of their target but will be unable to act. After the disarm's duration is over, they will resume attacking normally.

Besides the listed abilities, all sources of ethereal and hex disarm affected units.

  • Petrify (Ancient Prowler Shaman) icon.png
    Duration: 2
    Disarms the target until the debuff is gone.
  • Flaming Lasso icon.png
    Duration: 3/3.5/4
    Disarms the caster until the lasso breaks.
  • Hookshot icon.png
    Duration: Pull duration, maximum 0.5
    Disarms the caster for the duration of the pull time.
  • Frostbite icon.png
    Hero Duration: 1.5/2/2.5/3 (Talent 3/3.5/4/4.5)
    Non-Hero Duration: 10 (Talent 11.5)
    Disarms the target until the debuff is gone.
  • Rolling Boulder icon.png
    Duration: 1.6
    Disarms the caster until the rolling ends.
  • Earth Splitter icon.png
    Duration: 0 (Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter. 4/5/6)
    Only disarms enemies if Aghanim's Scepter is equipped.
  • Heaven's Halberd icon.png
    Duration on Ranged Targets: 5.5
    Duration on Melee Targets: 3
    Disarms the target for a duration based on whether it is a melee or ranged unit.
  • Life Break icon.png
    Max Duration: 5
    Disarms the caster for 5 second or until reaching the target, whichever is shorter.
  • Deafening Blast icon.png
    Duration: 1.25/2/2.75/3.5/4.25/5/5.75 (Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter. /6.5)
    Disarms all hit units after the knockback. Duration based on the level of Wex icon.png Wex.
  • Summon Spirit Bear icon.png
    Attack Proximity Range: 1100 (Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter. Global)
    Disarms the Spirit Bear When it is 1100 range away from Lone Druid.
  • Tree Dance icon.png
    Duration: 1.4
    Disarms the caster while the ability is on cooldown while on a tree.
  • Burrow icon.png
    Duration: Until unburrowing or using Vendetta icon.png Vendetta
    Disarms caster for duration.
  • Fate's Edict icon.png
    Duration: 3/3.5/4/4.5
    Can be cast on allies and enemies.
  • Sun Ray icon.png
    Max Duration: 6
    Disarms the caster until the ray stops.
  • Pounce icon.png
    Max Duration: 0.75
    Disarms the caster until the leap ends.
  • Chakram icon.png
    Duration: Until Chakram returns
    Disarms the caster until the Chakram fully returns to the caster.
  • Chakram 2 icon.png
    Duration: Until Chakram returns
    Disarms the caster until the Chakram fully returns to the caster.
  • Timber Chain icon.png
    Duration: Until pull ends or disabled
    Disarms the caster upon latching on a tree and until the pull finishes or the caster gets interrupted.
  • Overgrowth icon.png
    Duration: 3/3.75/4.5
    Disarms all affected units until the debuff is gone.
  • Snowball icon.png
    Max Stationary Time: 3
    Max Chase Duration: 3
    Disarms the caster until getting out of the snowball.
